Because yoga pays attention to the unity of body and mind and can strengthen physical health, people's enthusiasm for yoga continues unabated. However, for a sport with a history of more than 5,000 years, many people's understanding of yoga is still very shallow. Let me tell you more about yoga.

Origin

Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, which focuses on bringing harmony between mind and body. It is an art and science of healthy living. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. As per Yogic scriptures, the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body, Man & Nature. According to modern scientists, everything in the universe is just a manifestation of the same quantum firmament. One who experiences this oneness of existence is said to be in yoga and is termed as a yogi, having attained a state of freedom referred to as mukti, nirvana, or moksha. Thus the aim of Yoga is Self-realization, to overcome all kinds of suffering leading to 'the state of liberation (Moksha) or ‘freedom’ (Kaivalya). Living with freedom in all walks of life, health and harmony shall be the main objectives of Yoga practice."Yoga” also refers to an inner science comprising of a variety of methods through which human beings can realize this union and achieve mastery over their destiny. Yoga, being widely considered as an ‘immortal cultural outcome’ of Indus Saraswati Valley civilization – dating back to 2700 B.C., has proved itself to cater to both material and spiritual upliftment of humanity. Basic humane values are the very identity of Yoga Sadhana.

 Yoga Practice

The yoga practices of pan practice are: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi / Samyama, Bandhas & Mudras, Shat-karmas, Yukta-ahara, Yukta karma, Mantra japa, etc. Yama is restraint, Niyama is compliance. These are considered prerequisites for yoga practice. Asanas, which bring about physical and mental stability 'kuryat-tad-asanam-sthairyam', involve the use of various body patterns that impart the ability to maintain body postures for a considerable period and time.

Pranayama involves developing awareness of the breath and then consciously regulating the breath as a function of the vital foundation of one's existence. It helps to develop an awareness of the mind and helps to establish control over the mind. In the initial stage, this is done by developing awareness of the "breath-in and out-breath" (svasa-prasvasa) through the nostrils, mouth, and other bodily openings, their internal and external paths, and destinations. Later, this phenomenon was changed by regulating, controlling, and monitoring breathing (svasa), resulting in the body space being filled (puraka), the space being kept in a full state (kumbhaka) and it was emptied (rechaka) in regulation, control and Monitor expiration (prasvasa).

Basic principles of yoga practice:

Yogic Practices for Health and Wellness: The widely practiced Yoga Sadhanas (Practices) are: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana (Meditation), Samadhi /Samyama, Bandhas & Mudras, Shat-karmas, Yukta-ahara, Yukta karma, Mantra Japa, etc. Yama's are restraints and Niyama's are observances. These are considered to be pre-requisites for the Yoga Sadhanas (Practices). Asanas, capable of bringing about stability of body and mind ‘ kuryat-tad-asanam-sthairyam...’, consists in adopting various body (psycho-physical) patterns, giving the ability to maintain a body position (a stable awareness of one’s structural existence) for a considerable length and period of time as well.

Yoga works on the level of one’s body, mind, emotion, and energy. This has given rise to four broad classifications of Yoga: karma yoga, where we utilize the body; bhakti yoga, where we utilize the emotions; gyana yoga, where we utilize the mind and intellect; and kriya yoga, where we utilize the energy.

Yoga education is about taking care of the individual, that is, "being." It is assumed that a good, balanced, integrated, authentic, clean and transparent person will be more useful to himself, his family, society, country, nature, and humanity as a whole. Because of this, many prestigious yoga institutes, yoga institutes, yoga universities, yoga departments at universities, naturopathic colleges, and private trusts and societies teach yoga education. Many yoga clinics, yoga therapy and training centers, yoga preventive health care units, yoga research centers, etc. have been established in hospitals, pharmacies, medical institutions, and therapeutic institutions.

Precautions

Although yoga is an exercise that benefits our physical and mental health, it also carries risks. There are many difficult movements in yoga, that don't compare with others. Since yoga has various benefits, why are more and more professional yoga instructors "injuring their muscles and bones"? Some yoga instructors experience pain while practicing or teaching themselves and mistake it for stiffness, so instead of stopping, they continue. There is no doubt that practicing yoga has many benefits. But like any exercise, there are risks associated with overdoing it or applying it incorrectly. Everyone's flexibility is different, and some actions that others can do does not mean that you can do them. Most importantly, know your limits and take them in moderation.

At the same time, professional equipment can also reduce your risk of injury. Ms. Jineer, a co-founder of the Heatyoga, has a deep understanding of this. She is a Yoga fan, When she was working out about 10 years ago, she hardly found a suitable yoga kit for different level yogis. She experienced several brands' products but did not find a good fit. Hence, the fellows who had the same goal gathered and established Heathyoga aims to provide professional, diversified, affordable, and high-quality yoga gear for yogis.

To make the execution of complex yoga movements more convenient, a yoga mat is essential during training. Since the practice of yoga requires no other equipment, but a mat, it is necessary to invest in it. A yoga mat is important in yoga practice for the following reasons: it acts as a protective layer, and yoga mats are usually performed on the ground. You will feel the benefit of using it when you are forced to perform extreme poses. You can sweat easily while doing yoga. Then, use a mat to help prevent the possibility of slipping during the process. The rug will give you a sense of space, giving you the freedom to perform all the necessary movements during each workout.
